In the
Library, built with extra height to increase the impression of gothic
loftiness, the book presses soared upwards to be lost in a display of
coats of arms on the ceiling. Wenceslaus Hollar's prints, illustrating
sections of St Paul's Cathedral as it had been before being rebuilt by
Christopher Wren, were kept in one of the presses. They had been
published in the previous century and were used by John Chute as his
source for the woodwork of the Library.

To the right as it is today still
an impressive sight.
